The Last Time I Knew You


Sara Miller ran away pregnant from her family’s ranch after her secret boyfriend went AWOL, likely due to her father’s temper. Now, three years later, after clawing to keep it together as a single mom in Denver, she’s unemployed, friendless, and desperate. She begrudgingly crawls back to the ranch, hoping to earn money fast then set off for a peaceful life with her daughter by the ocean.

But as soon as they arrive, her three-year-old daughter, Aurora, starts acting strangely. Spouting off about “before she was Aurora,” the toddler seems to know impossible things about the ranch, hinting at dark secrets from decades ago. Meanwhile, Sara is confronted by an unsettling onslaught of memories. As a child, Sara was cut off from the world, constantly taught to fear sin, and whipped when she asked questions. She sets out to uncover what her parents have been hiding, and if Aurora really knows where the bodies are buried.
